According to the Yoga philosophy, childhood is the time for learning and acquiring knowledge. It is important to collect for the child to make his\/her own experiences. All activities of the child should be mindful and purposeful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
TIME FOR PERSONAL TALENTS AND ABILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n In the first six years of life, a child acquires and consolidates intellectual, motoric and social skills in free play. At the same time he\/she discovers and develops his\/her creativity. Through playing he\/she finds out what are his\/her quality and talents. The nervous system provides the necessary connections and interconnections. Ideally this vulnerable phase should proceed undisturbed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Many children who spend the majority of their time with the new media too early are missing these important developmental steps. Growing up to young adults they still do not know which strengths and weaknesses they possess and what is their destiny. Small children in particular have yet to get to know the world in which they live, including people, and gain trust. They cannot process any more information. That is why a child should only come into contact with the new media not before the age of 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Whether it’s the internet or social networks, they have a great influence on the mental development of a child. As a parent you are responsible to bring your son\/daughter in the right direction. Older siblings, friends and classmates who are not that critical of the media may have a bad influence. This can be also if your partner does not care about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Take time with your child and direct everything what is on the medias towards love and knowledge. Since online lessons are already available in elementary school, you will not be able to keep your child away from the computer. At least at home, however, you should limit the time on the computer and mobile phone to half an hour and maximum two hours in older children. Encourage it to as much free time as possible studying and playing freely in the fresh air in nature with friends. Discover the possibilities of the Internet together and study other cultures and customs, nature and lifeforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you are not successful don\u2019t worry. May be your child needs to get some skills. It\u2019s so obvious: the next generations will only work digitally. Therefore it is not wrong to learn these skills in early childhood. The only problem are the contents and the beliefs which transported in games or news feeds and social media. Help your child to focus on the good things in the internet. It should also be part of the family philosophy to be mindful with entertainment and not to bring dragons, witches and monsters into your home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Even most fairy tales are forbidden for little ears because they are too brutal and actually intended for adults. Behind each of these stories there is a moral lesson. If necessary explain to your child what\u2019s this content is about. Be sure to explain to him\/her that witches and wicked stepmothers represent the shadow in human beings. Let your child also learn about the opposite side of love and that it is only unconditional love that overcomes evil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
