People knew that a healthy mind can only exist in a healthy body. The human body needs exercises. Which kind of moves, depends on individual factors. The physical training in ancient times always was adapted to the potential and health of the student. With the Romans, subjects like maths, law and languages were also taught in these schools with the purpose, to make good citizens out of their athletes. This was the beginning of today&#8217;s gymnasium type of school. Unfortunately, the portion of sport is almost completely replaced by theoretical lessons. In school, sports and fitness, should at least cover one third of the teachings. This increases the student&#8217;s cognitive ability and brings top performances, physically and mentally as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"german\" style=\"font-size: 1.7em; font-weight: 300; color: #908C64; margin-top: 40px;\">GREAT VISION: ZUR\u00dcCK ZUM ANTIKEN GYMNASIUM<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ZUR\u00dcCK ZUM ANTIKEN GYMNASIUM<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In der Antike, bei den alten Griechen, war das Gymnasium ein Ort der k\u00f6rperlichen Ert\u00fcchtigung. Schon damals wusste man, dass ein gesunder Geist nur in einem gesunden K\u00f6rper bestehen kann. Der menschliche K\u00f6rper braucht Bewegung. Welche, das h\u00e4ngt von individuellen Faktoren ab. Das k\u00f6rperliche Training war immer auf die Gesundheit und das Potential des Sch\u00fclers abgestimmt. Erst mit den R\u00f6mern wurden im Gymnasium auch F\u00e4cher unterrichtet, die aus den Sportlern gute Staatsb\u00fcrger machen sollte. Das war der Beginn der gymnasialen Schulform von heute. Leider ist der Anteil an Sport fast komplett durch theoretischen Unterricht ersetzt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dabei sollte die Schule so aufgebaut sein, dass wenigstens ein Drittel des Unterrichts aus Sport und Fitness besteht.
